The Asian Subcontinent has been home to dogs for more than 15,000 years yet today people don't really care about the dogs in the Asian Subcontinent the first domesticated dog was in India about 10,000 years back although the dog breeds have evolved over the years and some are even made the way they are today.
The oldest dog breed is the INdog (Pariah Dog) which is from India.
